Pick Up Pelican Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Pick Up Pelican is provided by intentionallyblank.page (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled by the Pick Up Pelican iPad app and its marketing, support, and privacy pages on this website.
1. Your organization and its store
Pick Up Pelican is a business app for authorized staff using their organization’s WooCommerce store. The app connects directly to the store configured by the user or the organization. It does not require a separate developer-hosted account or send store records to a central Pick Up Pelican service.
The organization operating the store controls its customer and order records, staff access, hosting, backups, retention, and connected services. Its own privacy notices and policies also apply.
2. Information the app processes
Depending on the store and features used, the app may receive and process:
- Sign-in and configuration information: the store address, username, Application Password, and settings supplied through device management.
- Customer information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing addresses, dates of birth, and membership indicators provided by the store.
- Order information: order numbers, dates, products, quantities, customer notes, pickup status, payment-method information, transaction references, and receipt or invoice information.
- Staff authorization information: a staff PIN submitted to authorize a status change and the staff name recorded with that change.
This information is used to authenticate access, find and prepare pickup orders, confirm collection, show customer and order details, display or print documents, and keep an attributable history of status changes.
3. Saved sign-ins and device storage
The app sends store credentials to the configured store over HTTPS. After a successful manual sign-in, the store address, username, and Application Password are saved in the iPad’s Keychain so the app can reconnect on later launches. The saved entry is available while the device is unlocked, is stored for this device only, and is not synchronized through iCloud or migrated to another device.
Choose Sign Out in the app’s About screen to remove the saved manual credentials and end the current store session. The app reports an error if secure storage cannot remove the entry. Do not rely on uninstalling the app to remove Keychain credentials.
Credentials supplied through device management remain controlled by your organization and are not copied into the app’s saved manual sign-in. Order data is held in memory during use; the app does not create a persistent local order database.
4. Staff PINs and order history
A staff PIN is sent to the organization’s store when you authorize an order-status change. The connector verifies the PIN and records the staff member’s name in the order history. PIN records, security-related attempt counters, and order history are maintained on the organization’s server. The app clears the entered PIN after the authorization flow and when it leaves the PIN screen or moves to the background.
5. Documents, receipts, and other services
Packing slips are downloaded for printing through Apple’s printing interface. Documents you print, save, or share are handled by the selected printer, destination, or operating-system service. Copies and print queues outside the app are subject to those systems’ controls.
When you open an invoice or receipt, the supplied link opens in Apple’s in-app browser. The store, its document integration, or an external receipt provider such as Square receives that request and may process network information, cookies, or document data under its own privacy policy.
The app does not itself collect payment-card details or process payments. Your organization’s WooCommerce hosting, document tools, payment providers, and device-management services have their own data-handling practices.
6. Analytics, advertising, and diagnostics
The app contains no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell personal information or use app data for targeted advertising.
New-order sounds, when allowed, use local iPad notifications and do not require a Pick Up Pelican push-notification service. Apple may handle system diagnostics or feedback according to your device settings and the Apple services you use.
7. This website and support requests
These informational pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts, account registration, or an order form. The web server may record information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page, and access time to deliver the website, troubleshoot problems, and protect it.
If you contact us, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond to your request and investigate the issue. Hosting and email providers process information needed to provide those services. Please avoid including passwords, staff PINs, payment details, or customer records in support messages.
8. Retention and deletion
Saved manual sign-in details remain in this iPad’s Keychain until you sign out or remove them through the app’s supported controls. App order data is not stored in a persistent local order database.
Your organization determines how long its store records, staff records, document metadata, logs, and backups are retained. Signing out, removing the app, or expiring a document link does not delete those server records.
We retain support correspondence and website logs only as needed for support, operation, security, and applicable legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of information you provided directly to us, subject to any records we must retain.
9. Your choices and requests
You can sign out of a manual session, ask your administrator to revoke or replace an Application Password, and manage the app’s notification or local-network permissions in iPad Settings where applicable.
For access to, correction of, or deletion of customer, order, or staff information held by a store, contact the organization operating that store. For information you supplied directly to us or questions about this policy, contact privacy@intentionallyblank.page. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
10. Intended users and policy changes
Pick Up Pelican is intended for authorized business staff and is not directed to children. Customer information supplied by a store remains the responsibility of that organization.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or our practices. The date above identifies the latest update.
